At Halogen, we believe in investing in the future of our nation. We seek to inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well. Leadership and entrepreneurship are not about positions of power but personal influence. With the right opportunities, each young person can reach their fullest potential and make a difference in their respective spheres of influence.
To achieve this outcome, we design our programmes through the domains of Inspiration, Education and Action. By partnering organisations and youth influencers such as educators and parents, we seek to impact young people through:
- Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development
We offer programmes with a strong track record such as the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) programme, The Leadership Challenge®, Habitudes® and Everyday Leadership™ to equip youth with mindsets and skillsets to prepare them for their future. The content is delivered via workshops, talks, camps and customised programmes. We seek to empower the community by providing consultation on leadership development strategies and Train-the-Trainer programmes offered to youth influencers.
- Connecting Learning Within and Beyond Classrooms
We create opportunities for youth to interact with community and corporate partners in our programmes for experiential learning to take place. Youth are given platforms to make practical and positive contributions to their schools, communities, families and other areas that they are passionate about.
- Bringing Stakeholders Together and Building A Community
We organise community events to bring stakeholders together to communicate and champion the cause behind our work. We connect and engage with these communities through both online and offline conversations via our Social Media, Halogen Think Tank and Halogen360 platforms.
- Tracking and Assessing Transformation
We use pre and post measurement metrics in our programmes to collect feedback and derive insights to enhance the impact of our programmes. Tracking of such indicators in the youth landscape also provide us insights to youth trends that are important in designing for change.
